Who We Are

Built to Handle Anaheim Sun and Santa Ana Winds

We build and repair decks for homeowners across Anaheim and the surrounding cities, working on everything from a small cedar landing off a kitchen door to a two-level composite deck built for entertaining. If you're on this page, chances are your existing deck has a soft spot near the ledger board, boards that have cupped and split in the sun, or a railing that wobbles when you lean on it. Some of you are starting from nothing, just a slab of dirt and an idea for where the barbecue should go. Either way you want someone who knows the difference between a deck that looks fine in photos and one that's still solid in five years.

We flash every ledger board with self-adhering membrane before it touches the house, because that seam is where most deck failures start. Footings get sized for the actual load and tied down for lateral movement, which matters here given how often the ground shakes. We use stainless or hot-dip galvanized fasteners throughout so rust streaks don't show up on your decking two summers from now. If you want composite decking we'll walk you through hidden fastener systems so you don't end up with screw heads baking in the sun.

Had a soft spot by the back door for two years before I called. Turned out the ledger board was rotted clean through, glad they caught it before someone fell through.

Deck Repair · Long Beach, CA
Our old deck out in Yorba Linda was gray and splintery, looks like new wood again after the stain. They had to reschedule once for rain but texted me the night before so it wasn't a big deal.
Priya S.
Deck Staining & Sealing · Santa Ana, CA
Went with composite so I'd stop restaining every year. No screw heads showing anywhere, and the crew cleaned up every scrap before leaving our place in Anaheim.

Common Questions

Questions we get a lot

Questions people usually ask before booking a deck project.

Do you offer free estimates for deck projects?
A written estimate is given after walking the site, and there's no charge for that visit. For repair calls a rough range can often be given over the phone once the problem is described.
Are you licensed and insured to build decks in California?
Deck construction in California requires a contractor's license, and general liability plus workers' comp coverage comes with it. Certificates are available on request before a job starts.
How soon can a deck project get started?
Scheduling depends on the season and whether permits are needed, but most jobs get on the calendar within a few weeks of the estimate. Permit review can add time on top of that if the deck is over 30 inches off grade.
What areas are covered for deck building?
Deck work is done throughout Anaheim and the surrounding Orange County cities, generally within about a 50-mile radius. Outside that range it's worth a call, distance alone doesn't always rule a job out.
Are decks built on rental properties or just single-family homes?
Decks get built and repaired on single-family homes, rentals, townhomes and small multi-unit properties. HOA approval is sometimes needed on attached properties, and that's worth checking before scheduling.
Is a small deck repair too minor to call about?
No deck job is too small, a single rotted stair tread or a loose railing post is a normal service call. Smaller repairs are usually the easiest jobs to fit into an open slot in the schedule.
How do I get started on a deck project?
Call and describe what's going on, whether it's a new build or a repair, and a visit gets scheduled to look at the site. A written quote follows before anything gets scheduled.
What does a new deck typically cost?
Cost depends mainly on square footage, decking material and how much of the structure is elevated versus close to grade. Composite decking runs higher upfront than pressure-treated wood but needs far less upkeep over time.
Is a deposit required before deck work begins?
A deposit is standard on larger deck builds to cover material costs upfront, with the balance due on completion. The exact split gets spelled out in the written quote before work begins.
What happens if it rains during a deck project?
Framing work can usually continue through light rain, but staining, sealing and concrete footing pours get pushed until conditions are dry. Any weather delay gets communicated as soon as it's known.
